NAGORNO-KARABAKH RECOVERS FROM WINDSTORM

STEPANAKERT, MARCH 25, ARMENPRESS: Nagorno-Karabakh is recovering from
strong winds that swept across the republic on March 22 toppling trees,
downing power lines and causing road disruptions.
In the capital Stepanakert it caused widespread damage to roofs and
electricity outages.
Local authorities estimate the amount of damages at 250 million
Drams. Large-scale rehabilitation work to eliminate the consequences
was kicked off on Monday.
A 70-member crew of builders arrived in Nagorno-Karabakh from
Armenia. The rehabilitation work is supervised and coordinated by
prime minister Ara Harutyunian, who said the government has enough
building materials to distribute to people and entities to restore
their damaged structures.
