SARGSYAN'S VISIT MARKS IMPORTANCE OF RUSSIAN-ARMENIAN TIES

The visit of Armenian President-elect Serzh Sargsyan to Moscow
symbolizes the importance of Russian-Armenian ties, Russian President-
elect Dmitry Medvedev said.
"The fact that you pay your first visit after the election to Russia
symbolizes the importance of Russian-Armenian ties," Medvedev said
at a meeting with Sargsyan.
Medvedev expressed hope that Russian-Armenian ties will continue
to develop in the future, favoring maintaining "a high level of
these ties."
Sargsyan expressed hope that "traditional bilateral ties will continue
to strengthen even more" after Medvedev is inaugurated.
"You are well-known in Armenia," Sargsyan told Medvedev. "We are
ready to continue developing our bilateral ties in the future,"
