"THIS IS A POLITICAL PERSECUTION"

27 March, 2008
Levon Zurabyan, press secretary for the first President, was
called to the police department of Yerevan's central Kentron
district. Zurabyan was sent the summons yesterday. Reminder: Levon
Zurabyan has participated in the "political" walks along Northern
Avenue, which are considered "mass disorder".
The inquiry was conducted by investigator Samvel Sargsyan.
" I made inquiries about the crime I had allegedly committed. They
couldn't account for my "illegal" actions. They only said that
the proceeding was instituted under Article 180' and demanded an
explanation. I said I didn't know what I was supposed to say as I
had committed no "illegal" action.
Therefore, I consider it a political persecution and refused to ground
for my actions," Levon Zurabyan said to A1+.
By the way he is not aware yet of the charge he will be incriminated
with, as no one has given an articulate elucidation about his illegal
actions, for which he will bear responsibility.
