NKR PRESIDENT MEETS WITH PRIMATES OF TEHRAN, ATRPATAKAN AND NEW JULFA DIOCESES OF ARMENIAN APOSTOLIC CHURCH

STEPANAKERT, MARCH 28, ARMENIANS TODAY- NOYAN TAPAN. On March 28,
Bako Sahakian, the President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic,
received Archbishop Sepuh Sargsian, the primate of Tehran diocese of
the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Nshan Topuzian, the primate
of Atrpatakan diocese, and Archbishop Babken Chalian, the primate of
New Julfa (Nor Jugha) diocese.
At the meeting, in which Archbishop Pargev Martirosian, the primate of
Artsakh diocese, was also participating, a number of issues concerning
further broadening and deepening of ties with the Iranian Armenian
community, prospects of investment programs' implementation in Nagorno
Karabakh, as well as state-church relations were discussed.
