BAKU FAILED SARGSIAN-ALIYEV MEETING TO BE HELD IN BUCHAREST

YEREVAN, 28.03.08. DE FACTO. The RA MFA hopes that the statement of
Azerbaijan's FM Araz Asimov does not reflect the position of the
country's high leadership, the RA MFA acting spokesperson Tigran
Balayan stated while commenting the initiative of the Azerbaijani
party concerning breaking up the OSCE MG.

"We agree with the Minsk group Co-Chairs and hope that this step and
Araz Asimov's viewpoint does not reflect the position of Azerbaijan's
higher leadership", Balayan noted. In his words, Azerbaijan presented
the letter targeted at breaking up the Minsk group and it was done
before the voting at the U. N. General Assembly on the resolution
    initiated by Baku.

It once again testifies to the fact that Azerbaijan's affirmations
and the steps of officials are not connected with the obligations
concerning continuation of the peace settlement process and most likely
are false assignments, the Armenian diplomat noted. The fact that
the Azerbaijani party failed the meeting of Azerbaijani President and
RA President-elect within the frames of the NATO summit in Bucharest
also testifies to the fact, Regnum reports.
