HIS HOLINESS ARAM I RECEIVES THE AMBASSADOR OF HOLLAND
His Holiness Aram I received the Ambassador of Holland to Lebanon Robert
Zeldenrust in his office in the Veharan on April 29.
The Ambassador conveyed to the Pontiff the interest of European countries in
the developments in the Middle East in general and in Lebanon in particular.
His Holiness stressed the importance of consensus and unity.
His Holiness and his guest also spoke about the Catholicosate of Cilicia,
its structure, its dioceses as well as its interfaith and interchurch
mission. His Holiness also explained to the Ambassador the role of the
Armenian community in Lebanon and its contribution to the country's
development.
