LEBANESE ARMENIANS MEET WITH DEPUTY EDITOR OF MARMARA ARMENIAN DAILY
OF CONSTANTINOPLE
BEIRUT, MAY 6, ARMENIANS TODAY - NOYAN TAPAN. A meeting-conversation on
the "The present of the Constantinople-Armenian colony: Alarms and
difficulties" subject with Makruhi P. Hakobian, the deputy editor of
the Marmara Daily of Constantinople, took place in the Armenian hall of
the Levon Shant cultural center of Hamazgayin on May 4.
The opening speech of the meeting was delivered by Raffi Demirchian,
metioning that the situation of the Constantinople-Armenian colony has
constantly been the focus of interest for Lebanese Armenians, meaning
that the anxieties, issues and alarms of the colony are unique in their
character and form.
The meeting was organized by the regional administration of Lebanon of
Hamazgayin and the Azdak Daily.
