FIRST FORUM OF KARABAKH-BASED NGOS

On May 17, 2008 the first forum of the Karabakh-based NGOs will take
place in Stepanakert which will analyze the activities of NGOs in
Karabakh, discuss the prospects of their development in NKR, and
priorities in shaping a civil society in Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
The Forum will bring up the issues of the role and participation of the
civil society in solving national problems NKR is facing. Proceeding
from this, the main topics of the Forum are the NGOs and the democratic
process in NKR, the NGOs and social and economic development in NKR,
NGOs and external relations of NKR, NGOs and the government.
The Forum is held with the assistance of the NKR government, the
initiative and financial participation of several NGOs and the NKR
Center of International Cooperation.
