YEREVAN, MAY 19, NOYAN TAPAN. The National Movement led by Levon
Ter-Petrosian will take part in local self-government elections
    in autumn.

Arman Musinian, L. Ter-Petrosian's Spokesperson, informed journalists
    about it on May 19.

According to him, the opposition movement does not take part
in the elections of Yerevan prefects, as it considers those
elections anti-constitutional. A. Musinian said that according to
the constitutional amendments, as far back as in late 2007 a law on
Yerevan was to have been adopted, Yerevan's status was to have been
determined and mayor's elections were to have been held. However,
they were postponed. In his words, it is five months Yerevan is in
an anti-constitutional status with its anti-constitutional mayor,
all decisions made by which are also anti-constitutional.
