ACCORDING TO PRELIMINARY RESULTS OF MAY 18 AVAN PREFECT'S ELECTIONS, TARON MARGARIAN REELECTED PREFECT

YEREVAN, MAY 19, NOYAN TAPAN. According to the preliminary results
of the May 18 prefect's elections of the Avan community of Yerevan,
current prefect, RPA member Taron Margarian has been reelected.
As Noyan Tapan correspondent was informed by Tatev Ohanian, the
Spokesperson of the RA Central Electoral Commission, 18 857 or 53.1%
of the total number of Avan's voters, 35 475, took part in voting. 18
578 voters voted for the only candidate, 105 voted against. 174
ballot-papers were recognized invalid. The number of inaccuracies is 6.
