Anti-Monopoly Commission to Study Armenia's Petrol Market
YEREVAN, May 27. /ARKA/. Armenian State Commission for Economic
Competition Protection is going to monitor the country's petrol market,
Commission Chairman Ashot Shahnazaryan told reporters.
`Today prices in Armenia do not differ much from international prices,'
Shahnazaryan stressed.
The anti-monopoly commission will study the petrol prices within one
and a half months. `We have already requested the economic entities of
the sector for data and will start the research work in the nearest
future,' Shahnazaryan said.
According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, petrol prices
grew in Armenia by 2.5% in April 2008 as compared to March. An 11.5%
annual increase and 3.3% growth from the beginning of the year were
