MP Hagop Pakradounian requests two Armenian ministers
May 30, 2008
Change and Reform MP Hagop Pakradounian met with Prime Minister Fouad
Siniora on Wednesday and gave the incumbent premier his `warmest
wishes' as the head of `the cabinet of all Lebanese, and not the
leader of a group.'
Pakradounian also said he hoped President Michel Sleiman's
inauguration speech would form the starting point of the new
national-unity government.
The MP requested two Armenian ministers in the new cabinet `as an
implementation of the Taif Agreement' and as the fulfillment of `a
promise that [late] former premier Rafik Hariri had made.'
Pakradounian said he nominated former Minsiter Alain Tabourian for any
ministry that would guarantee Armenian participation in the
government.
