RA FM: ACTIVATION OF TALKS TO OPEN DOOR FOR KARABAKH SETTLEMENT

YEREVAN, 04.11.08. DE FACTO. RA FM Edvard Nalbandian expressed
hope that activation of Karabakh talks after a meeting of Armenian,
Azerbaijani and Russian Presidents held in Moscow would open a door
for the conflict's settlement.
"The presidents commissioned Armenian and Azerbaijani FMs to activate
talks", he noted. In his words, after signing a declaration and
holding talks a meeting with the OSCE MG Co-Chairs was held.
"The Co-Chairs intend to visit Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan
in the shortest possible time to continue talks and activate the
process', Nalbandian stated.
To note, a declaration was signed on the results of a meeting of
presidents of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan Serge Sargsian, Dmitry
Medvedev and Ilham Aliyev. In the declaration the presidents expressed
their readiness to promote improvement of situation in the South
Caucasus and establishment of the atmosphere of stability and security
in the region via the conflict's political settlement, ArmInfo reports.
