CATHOLICOS OF ALL ARMENIANS RECEIVES NEWLY-APPOINTED US AMBASSADOR TO ARMENIA

ETCHNIADZIN, NOVEMBER 3, NOYAN TAPAN. Receiving the newly-appointed
U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Marie Yovanovitch on November 3,
the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II
expressed confidence that during her mission as U.S. ambassador,
Ms Yovanovitch will contribute to the strengthening of the relations
between the two countries. His Holiness expressed his gratitude to
the U.S. administration for its assistance to Armenia.
M. Yovanovitch in her turn thanked His Holiness for his good wishes,
assuring him that she will do her best to promote the links of the
two nations.
According to a press release of the information system of the Mother
See of Holy Etchmiadzin, during the meeting the sides also discussed
the process of settling the Nagorno Karabakh conflict as well as the
Armenian-Turkish relations.
