NAGORNO-KARABAKH DEFENSE MINISTER WELCOMES ADOPTION OF MOSCOW DECLARATION

YEREVAN, 06.11.08. DE FACTO. Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Defense Minister
Movses Hakobian welcomes the adoption of the Armenian-Azeri-Russian
declaration.
Commenting on the declaration, NKR Defense Minister stated, in part,
"Politicians have come to the conclusion that the settlement of the
issue in military way does not exist. I believe it is also the result
of our efforts for all the years and counterweight established by NKR
Defense Army in the region by its battle efficiency, its everyday
laborious work". Welcoming the adoption of the document, Movses
Hakobian said, "In the end, if it is possible to guarantee security
in political way, why not do it and rule out servicemen's involvement".
At that the Minister noted that NKR Defense Army would improve year
after year so that no one would ever cast doubts on Nagorno-Karabakh
people's security. In his words, Defense Army plays first fiddle on
the contact line of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan's Armed Forces,
