Despite the fact that Barack Obama, who won the US presidential
elections, promised to recognize the Armenian Genocide after being
elected, Turkey should continue its initiatives towards Armenia,
former US Ambassador to Ankara Mark Grossman said according to Turkish
news agencies.
Former US Deputy Secretary of State Grossman particularly underlined
that Ankara should continue its efforts in making of a joint commission
of historians, also speaking with the Armenian authorities.
At the same time, Mark Grossman underscored that Barack Obama
attaches great importance to the issue of the Armenian Genocide,
Noyan Tapan reported.
