NINTH ANNUAL "COUNTRY OF TALKING STONES" INTERNATIONAL TOURISM EXHIBITION TO BE HELD IN ARMENIA ON NOV 6-7 2009

YEREVAN, November 10. /ARKA/. The ninth annual international tourism
exhibition - Country of Talking Stones (CTS) -2009 - is to be held in
Armenia on November 6-7 next year, co-organizer of the exhibition,
Head of Armenian Office of U.S. Travel Agencies Union Yeghishe
Tanashyan reported.
The full information on the exhibition will be posted on the official
site, Tanashyan told journalists Saturday.
Tanashyan made appraisal of the outcome of CTS-2008 held on November
7-8.
In 2009, Iran, Turkey, Syria, Egypt and Bulgaria are expected to
participate in the exhibition, he said.
"Our main aim for the next year is to intensify Russian tourist
market toward Armenia," he said. He also added that the Armenian
side intends to develop joint programs with Russia to develop winter
tourism in Armenia.
Tanashyan expressed belief that the exhibition will give an impetus
to development of winter tourism in Armenia.
Country of Talking Stones exhibitions have been held in Armenia
since 2000.
The exhibitions are held by the Armenian Office of the American
Travel Agencies Union with assistance of Competitive Armenian Private
Sector (CAPS) of USAID and under patronage of Armenian Ministry of
Economy.
