/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan refuted
media reports that Russia used its military base in Armenia during
    the August war with Georgia.

"The 102nd Russian base can be put into operation along the perimeter
of the former USSR and with the consent of the Armenian side. The
Armenian anti-aircraft system controls the republic's airspace and
doesn't confirm the hearsay," he told a briefing in Tbilisi, Izvestia
    daily reports.

Currently, in Georgia, Seyran Ohanyan held a meeting with his
counterpart David Kezerashvili to discuss military cooperation between
    the two states.
