PLENARY SESSION OF COUNCIL OF DEFENSE MINISTERS OF CSTO MEMBER
COUNTRIES CONDUCTES IN YEREVAN
YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 28, ARMENPRESS: The plenary session of the
delegations of the defense ministers of the CSTO member countries took
place today in the administrative building of Armenian Defense
Ministry. During the session the ministers signed 8 agreements.
Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanian said at a press conference
followed after the session that the main content of the joint work was
the discussion of consolidation of military element of CSTO and
directions and mechanisms of development.
A. Serdyukov said at today's session a great attention
has been paid to the issues on improvement of operative-battle
preparedness of the CSTO member-countries, by the signed documents the
further planning of the establishment has been formed. According to
him, in case the commitments registered in the document are
implemented the joint battle preparedness of the organization will
reach higher level in 2010-2014.
The next session the council of defense ministers of CSTO will take
place in 2009 in Minsk, capital of Belarus.
