ARMENTEL SUBSCRIBERS MAY SEND MMS TO CIS

ArmInfo. ArmenTel CJSC has launched experimental and commercial
performance of MMS service. Now ArmenTel subscribers can exchange
MMS with the subscribers of VimpelCom group in some CIS states:
Mobitel (Georgia), KarTel (Kazkahstan), Unitel (Uzbekistan), Tacom
(Tajikistan) and URS (Ukraince). An out-coming message costs 50 drams
and incoming messages are free.
'Now our subscribers can share their mood and feelings with their
friends through MMS not only in Armenia but also outside it', ArmenTel
Director General Neicho Velichkov said.
Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) allows mobile phone users to
send and receive multimedia content that includes text, images,
audio, video clips etc. At present the data of an MMS do not exceed
300kb. MMS services is provided in a 'package of three services':
MMS, Mobile GPRS and GPRS-WAP.
