    EXPERT: BRYZA OPENLY SUPPORTS AZERBAIJAN

    /PanARMENIAN.Net/ OSCE Minsk Group U.S. Co-chair Matthew Bryza's
recent interview with BBC proved that he is a biased mediator, who
openly supports Azerbaijan in Karabakh talks, an Armenian expert said.

"Moreover, he is not aware of the conflict's history and hardly
understands the meaning of his utterance that 'juridically, Nagorno
Karabakh is a part of Azerbaijan.' This interview is crude and
provocative," Eduard Abrahamyan , expert at Mitq analytical center,
    told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

"The point is that legal borders between the states are determined
neither by international structures nor by intermediaries but by
special governmental commissions. As to the Armenian-Azeri border,
it was not demarked after the USSR decline. Furthermore, Azerbaijan
is the legal successor of the Azerbaijani Democratic Republic which
was not even recognized as a state. The Azeri SSR has nothing to do
    with the process," he said.

There is no law or juridical viewpoint that could influence the
Karabakh problem resolution, according to him.

"This is a regular invention of the U.S. mediator who can't enjoy
Armenia's confidence any more. The Armenian lobby in the U.S. should
urge dismissal of dubious officials like Bryza while the Armenian
government should redouble efforts for international recognition of
the Nagorno Karabakh Republic," Abrahamyan said.
