DIRECTOR GENERAL OF EXTERNAL RELATIONS OF THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION VISITED ARMENIA

On October 16, 2008 Mr. Eneko Landaburu, Director General of External
Relations, European Commission, paid a working visit to Armenia. The
main purpose of the visit was to discuss European Union-Armenia
relations, European Neighbourhood Policy and ENP Action Plan
implementation, as well as regional issues and "Eastern Partnership
Initiative".
In the scope of his visit, Mr. Landaburu met with Armenian President
Serzh Sargsyan, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, Minister of Economy,
Mr. Nerses Yeritsyan. Besides, he also met with the representatives
of Armenian opposition, Ombudsmen and former Foreign Minster Vardan
Oskanian.
Mr. Landaburu gave two exclusive interviews to Armenian TV channels,
namely Public TV of Armenia and Yerkir Media TV.
