"I've already done my selection and I voted for one of the presidential
candidates," said Arpi Vardanyan, the director of Armenian branch of
Armenian Assembly in America.
On November 4, Arpi Vardanyan won't manage to leave for US and
they have sent the ballot paper to vote. Vardanyan said that 6
candidates are competing for the president's position but Obama-Mc
Cain competition is too strong that the rest are left under shadow.
Arpi Vardanyan said that according to some surveys 125-200 million
citizens will vote, 7500 electoral territories and 200 thousands
electoral units are established in America.
"I guess that if Obama is elected then the foreign policy of the US
will be changed," she said, and added that most of American Armenians
are going to vote for Obama, who promised to recognize the Genocide
of Armenia.
