/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The U.S. supports territorial integrity of any
states, as one of the principles of the international law. The
right of nations to self-determination is an equipollent principle,
U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs
said.
"The most difficult task is to combine these two principles for
resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict," Daniel Fried told
a news conference in Yerevan. "It's clear that each party should
compromise. And it's the wish of the Unites States to see Azerbaijan,
Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh developing in peace."
"Baku knows that resolution of the conflict by use of force is
inadmissible. The OSCE Minsk Group format is efficient and some
progress has already been fixed," Mr. Fried said.
