Azeri minister, US military officials discuss regional situation,
Karabakh
Azerbaijani Defence Minister Safar Abiyev and a visiting US military
delegation discussed the regional situation and the Karabakh
settlement at their meeting on 24 October, the state-run Azartac news
agency reported the same day.
"The meeting focused on the current tense military and political
situation in the region, factors delaying the Nagornyy Karabakh
conflict resolution and other issues," the report added.
Azartac added that retired Gen Charles Boyd, Deputy Commander of the
US European Command Vice-Adm Richard Gallagher and other delegation
members discussed a wide range of issues with Abiyev relating to
Azerbaijan.
