ARMENIAN PM RECEIVES CHAIRMAN OF THE CZECH SENATE

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 12, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Prime Minister Tigran
Sargsyan received today delegation headed by the chairman of the
Czech Senate Prshemisl Sobotka.
Governmental press service told Armenpress that during the meeting
the prime minister noted that during the recent period Armenian-Czech
economic relations have been consolidated and are developing thanks
to the efforts of the two sides. The prime minister underscored that
the potential existing for increasing the trade turnover between the
two countries be fully used.
The prime minister said he is pleased with the development of ties
in scientific, educational, cultural spheres.
During the meeting the sides also referred to Armenia's Euro
integration process. In this respect the prime minister thanked for
the support of the Czech Republic in the process, expressing hope that
the visit of the chairman will give new impetus to the development
of EU-Armenia relations after Czechia assumes the chairmanship of
the EU from January 1.
Czech parliament chairman also highly assessed the cooperation between
the two countries and noted that Czechia is interested in Armenia
which may be witnessed by the visits of Czech officials to Armenia.
During the meeting the chairman of the Czech Senate referred to the
regional developments and expressed hope that the situation will be
regulated and Armenia will not have economic issues because of the
communication roads. Referring to more close relations, he underscored
the development of inter-parliamentary relations.
