YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, NOYAN TAPAN. Iranian photographer Afshin
Aryafar's exhibition under the title "My Armenia" will open on
September 18 at the HayArt cultural center of Yerevan Mayor's
Office. As center Director Rita Sharoyan said at the September 16
press conference, 50 out of 2000 photographs of the photographer
dedicated to Armenia will be presented at the exhibition.
A. Aryafar was born and currently lives and creates in the city
of Shiraz.
He started to take photographs at the age of ten and took photographs
dedicated to Armenia last autumn. "The very fact that the Iranian
creator named our homeland "my Armenia" is noteworthy and worthy
of respect.
Besides, Afshin dedicates this exhibition to Armenia's Independence
Day," R. Sharoyan said.
According to A. Aryafar, Armenia and the Armenian people are very
dear to him. "In my opinion, the Armenian and Persian peoples are
very like each other," he said.
The exhibition will function until September 23.
