In the recent times Levon's followers raised a hullabaloo on the
occasion of the February 19 decision of the court of General
Competencies of Kentron And Nork Marash communities on the interception
of Alexadr Arzumanyan's telephone conversation by the National Security
Service.
In reality the proceeding has been legal and all the clarifications
have already been given by the competent instances.
But Levon's followers were not satisfied by this and they made
Alexander Arzumanyan's lawyer, member of the political council of
`Hanrapetutyun' party Hovik Arsenyan appeal to the Appeal Court, in
order to prove baseless the before mentioned facts and to overturn
February 19 decision. Though the term of the decision's overturn has
expired anyway the Appeal Court came to a decision to hear the action.
On September 17 the Appeal court started the closed hearing of Hovik
Arsenyan's claim, discussing in detail all the groundings and
abjections of the parties. As a result the Appeal Court refused Hovik
Arsenyan's claim, considering legal the interception conducted by the
National Security Service.
Hovik Arsenyan was so shocked after hearing the arguments of the
answering party that after the hearing he said the following: `Levon
did a really silly thing by appoi
nting Alik Arzumanyan as chief of the
headquarter.'
Of course, because there were lots of political figures around
Ter-Petrosyan who exceeded Alik Arzumanyan by their political will,
skills and organizational abilities. But we must take into
consideration the fact that the US-Masson circles had ordered
Ter-Petrosyan that in case of being elected as President he must have
appointed Alik Arzumanyan as the country's Foreign Minister.
But this is not the most important thing. By his misbalanced actions
Alik Arzumanyan led the activity of the headquarter to illegal actions,
political adventurousness. The chief of the headquarter couldn't take
sensible actions, which is why the law enforcer came to a decision to
intercept his telephone conversation to avert the mass disorder
organized by him.
Judging from all Hovik Arsenyan was right saying `Levon did a silly
thing by appointing Alik Arzumanyan as a chief of the headquarter.'
