SUPPLY OF RUSSIAN GAS TO BE RESUMED TODAY

YEREVAN, September 29. /ARKA/. On Monday evening the supply of Russian
gas to Armenia will be resumed.
The ArmRosGasprom press service reports that the gas supply was
interrupted because of the repair of pipe section.
The increase in the capacity of the North Caucasus-Transcaucasus gas
pipeline necessitated the replacement of a 500mm-wide pipe section
with a 1,000mm-wide section. The section runs across the Khram River
in Georgia.
Uninterrupted supply of gas to Armenia's consumers is possible due
to the Abovyan underground gas storage.
