PACE MONITORING COMMITTEE WELCOMES REFORMS IN ARMENIA

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ CE Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) Monitoring Committee
meeting launched yesterday in Valencia, focused on Armenia's compliance
with 1643 PACE resolution terms. PACE Monitoring Committee welcomed
reforms already implemented in Armenia and spoke about the country's
further progress, Armenian Delegation Head David Harutyunyan reported.
According to him, Armenia will show significant progress in the
fulfillment of RA Criminal Codex articles 225, 300 even before
PACE spring session. PACE Monitoring Committee also touched upon
RA electronic media activities. Council of Europe experts suggested
creation of regulatory agency in this sphere. The parties also referred
to oncoming Council of Elders elections in Armenia, Svoboda radio
station reported.
