ArmInfo. The biggest retailer of Armenia - STAR company has disproved
false information of mass media about its shut down. As press-service
of STAR told ArmInfo, on 30 March editor's office of one of the local
internet sites disseminated false information that STAR supermarkets'
net may be shut down.
"The informational source", that wants to remain secret, presents
the debt of the net to its suppliers as an argument. "There is no
word about closing of the net. We are working, developing and it
is evident", - executive director of STAR net Vahagn Kerobyan said
and added that indebtedness term is 38-45 days, which does not affect
profitability of the company. Kerobyan assured that over the next 10-15
days they will fully fulfill obligations against the suppliers. "This
is normal. For instance, in western countries indebtedness of nets
may be 90 days. Moreover, our debt is in direct ratio to custom. Every
day we pay big funds for the goods supply", - he said.
According to STAR press-service, over the last months such
disinformation regularly appears in mass media and of provocative
nature.
To note, at present there are 13 supermarkets in the STAR net
functioning since 1998. European Bank for Reconstruction and
Development with 28,3% share is one of the shareholders of the STAR
net of supermarkets.
