Within the preliminary investigation of the criminal case, initiated
on the fact of committing deliberate actions in Yerevan City on March
1 and 2, 2008, a new criminal action has been filed under Article
104 of the Criminal Code to reveal the circumstances and perpetrators.
The Special Investigation Service informed A1+ that the main procedure
will continue. Since the 3-rd part of Article 225 has been repealed,
a new case has been instituted with regards to the assassinations
of March 1 ten victims. "The materials are the same, simply legal
correspondence has been made."
According to the SIS the seven prisoners at the bar may be invited
to a cross examination if needed but they will not be charged with
the assassinations "only if the defendant has no direct connection
with the murder."
Recently, Samvel Nikoyan, the chairman of the parliamentary committee
looking into the events of March 1-2, announced that the chances
to disclose the murders of the ten victims are not exhausted. Asked
whether they have grounds for a similar assertion, the SIS said the
crime is possible to trace both theoretically and practically.
The case will not dash away, it can be solved even in 15 years,
we were told at the Special Investigation Service.
