MATTHEW BRYZA: I AM IN BAKU TO STEP UP SETTLEMENT OF NAGORNO KARABAKH CONFLICT

Baku. Vikoriya Dementyeva-APA. US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State
for European and Eurasian Affairs Matthew J. Bryza, who is one of
three OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, gave a press conference in Baku.
According to him, he met with Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev,
Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov, Deputy Minister of
Foreign Affairs Araz Azimov and Minister of Industry and Energy
Natig Aliyev to discus issues on Nagorno Karabakh conflict, security
and energy.
He added that he traveled to Baku to help accelerate the settlement
of Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
The US diplomat underlined the importance of Turkey's role and help
in the settlement of this conflict.
In his words, progress in the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh
conflict and improvement of Armenia-Turkey relations should happen
simultaneously.
