AZERI PROTESTERS OUTSIDE TURKISH EMBASSY IN BAKU URGE AGAINST OPENING BORDERS

About 30 activists of the Iravan [Yerevan] Liberation Organization
picketed the Turkish embassy in Baku at 1500 local time [1000 gmt]
today. The picket protested against plans to open the borders between
Turkey and Armenia.
The picket proceeded under a slogan "Turkey, do not open borders",
"Turkey, do not forget about Azerbaijan and Karabakh!" and others.
The co-chairwoman of the organization, Ceyran Ansar, handed over
a resolution of the picket to a representative of the Turkish
embassy. The picket went on without incidents, the police did not
interfere. The Iravan Liberation Organization has been established
by ethnic Azerbaijanis from Armenia.
