ARMENIAN AGRICULTURE MINISTRY GAUGING SNOW-INFLICTED DAMAGE

MASIS, April 15. /ARKA/. Armenian Agriculture Ministry is gauging
snow-inflicted damage to gardens, Agriculture Minister Aramayis
Grigoryan said on Tuesday.
In recent days, show fell in Armenia. Such late snowfalls are unusual
for the country. The previous snowfall was on April 24, 2007.
The minister said that the temperature subsided for a short period
of time and the cold was not so severe.
He said Ararat Valley and northern territories have borne the brunt
of the disaster.
What for compensation to farmers, the minister said that the decision
will be made after gauging the damage.
