STATUS OF BSEC PARTNER GIVEN TO IRAN

A decision on providing Iran with BSEC partner status is one of the
most important resolutions made today, BSEC Secretary General Leonidas
Chrysanthopoulos said in Yerevan today after BSEC foreign ministers'
meeting.
According to him, BSEC will establish the cooperation with Iran in
different spheres, in particular, in agriculture, energy and transport,
that is an important step at this stage of international relations
and demonstrates the Organization's progressive approaches.
