Week of Germany held in Armenian regions

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Gyumri will host an exhibit of Horst Janssen's works
from April 20 to May 11 in the framework of Week of Germany held on
the initiative of the German Embassy in Yerevan.
The exhibition will also open in Martuni and Kapan.
German drawer and graphic artist Horst Janssen was born outside
marriage on November 14, 1929 in Hamburg. He spent his childhood in
Oldenburg.
After his grandfather's death in 1939 and the death of his mother in
1941, Janssen was raised in the National Political Institute of
Education in Haselünne in the Emsland.
Horst Janssen returned to Hamburg in 1945 and studied at the State
School of Art from 1946 to 1951 under Alfred Mahlau.
Besides portraits in oil, Janssen made ceramic objects, but he most of
all learned the art of lithographs in the factory's lithographic
workshop.
