Ali Ahmadov: `There is no reason grounding the reopening of
Turkey-Armenia borders'

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev ` APA. `As far as I know, the reports about
the content of the roadmap on the normalization of Turkey-Armenia
relations is not true,' deputy chairman, executive secretary of New
Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Ali Ahmadov said, APA reports. According to
him, Turkish President, prime Minister have stated up to now that the
normalization of Turkey-Armenia relations will not damage
Turkey-Azerbaijan relations.
`We believe it and consider that the relations will remain so. I do
not want to believe that Turkey's steps will contradict Azerbaijan's
interests. Turkey-Armenia borders were closed because of the
occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenians. The occupation
continues, the consequences of the occupation have not been
eliminated. There is no reason grounding the reopening of the borders
under these circumstances,' he said.
