"Mitk" analytical centre has released a statement, expressing concern
over the recent developments. The authors of the statement stress that
normalization of Armenian-Turkish ties misleads Armenian public and
is far from reality. "Turkey has always been firm in its positions on
Armenian-Turkish relations, stipulating for recognition of Turkey's
borders established under 1921 Kars Treaty, suspension of Genocide
recognition process and settlement of Karabakh conflict in favor of
Azerbaijan," the statement says. "Signing Armenian-Turkish statement
prior to tragic date became the victory of American-Turkish diplomacy
and showed the gap between Armenia and Diaspora." The authors also
believe that Armenia does not have the moral right to establish
bilateral ties with Turkey without Diaspora's consent.
Considering the above-mentioned, "Mitk" analytical center demands
that FM Eduard Nalbandyan be dismissed from post and the "route map"
be introduced to public.
