THE ARMENIAN COMMUNITY OF ENGLAND ADDRESSED A CLAIM LETTER TO PRIME MINISTER GORDON BROWN TO RECOGNIZE THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

On April 25 on the occasion of commemoration of 94th anniversary of
the Armenian Genocide representatives of the Armenian Community of
Great Britain continued protest actions against denying position
of Turkey. Hundreds of participants of the protest actions in
London chanting anti-Turkish slogans, holding the picture of the
editor-in-chief of the Akos weekly of blessed memory Hrant Dink,
moved to the government building. Participants of the rally called
on the European Union to impose a precondition on Turkey in the EU
accession talks the requirement to recognize the fact of the Armenian
Genocide. By the end of rally demonstrators passed the letter to prime
minister of the Great Britain Gordon Brown demanding to recognize
the fact of the Armenian Genocide.
