Moscow welcomes the efforts of Yerevan and Ankara for normalization
of relations, Official Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry
Andrey Nesterenko said, Wednesday, Russian mass media report.
"This is a real chance to change the status-quo and transfer the
relations frozen for a long time to a new constructive level",-
Nesterenko stressed.
He added that "these agreements are the bilateral affair of Armenia and
Turkey". "As a partly Caucasian party, we welcome any initiatives of
Yerevan and Ankara which lead to normalization of relations between
the two states, decreasing the tension in the region in general",-
Nesterenko said and added that "Moscow sincerely wishes good luck to
Armenian and Turkish partners in this direction". Nesterenko expressed
hope that the positive dynamics in the Armenian- Turkish relations will
have a positive effect on the atmosphere of the Karabakh peace process.
