At the August 6 sitting, the Armenian government took a decision on
construction of the North-South Road Corridor.
RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan stated that the decision launches
a great road construction project whose cost may be up to 1.5 billion
dollars, according to estimates of the Asian Bank. He said that a bid
for the first stage of construction work has already been submitted
to the Asian Bank.
"This may amount to 700 million dollars. The start of the indicated
work will be announced by this decision," T. Sargsyan said, pointing
out that the North-South Highway will be in line with the best
international standards.
