CONSUMERS' UNION: ARMENIAN CONSUMERS IN NEED OF AWARENESS RAISING

among consumers. A consumer should possess maximum knowledge about
products, including expiry date, and apply to relevant agencies in
case of having problems," Head of Consumers' Union Armen Poghosyan
told today a news conference. He also informed participants about
the operation of a new hotline service.
There no street trade in legal terms, the speaker finds. To that end,
he noted the importance of "Lowering prices on market tolls."
Market and supermarket studies will be organized late in August with
the purpose of enhancing services and normalizing relations between
consumers and producers, Pogosyan said.
Violations will be sanctioned by fines in the amount of AMD 50 to
100 thousand.
