ARMENIAN STOCK EXCHANGE TO BECOME MORE ACTIVE BY THE END OF 2009, AN EXPERT PREDICTS

ArmInfo. Armenian stock exchange will become more active by the end
of 2009 thanks to possible appearance of new emitters at the market,
director general of "Cascade Investment" company, Hayk Papyan, told
ArmInfo correspondent.
He also added that the present passiveness of NASDAQ OMX Armenia
is caused by the two main factors. First, the factor of season, and
second, by the factor of general worsening of the situation in the
country because of the world financial and economical crisis. "It is
very much important that this passiveness is not caused by reduction
of the potential emitters of the stock exchange market or by the
principles changing of their positions", - Papyan said and added that
some companies did not cancel their plans on quick joining the IPO.
