SHOOT-OUT IN YEREVAN

Another shoot-out in Yerevan. August 7 at 2:30 a.m. there could
be heard some shooting, Police press service informed NEWS.am. The
scuffle broke out between Araik and Suren D. brothers and persons
unknown, where the brothers got injured. Further they were taken to
Police department.
Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper voices an interesting version of the
accident. The initiators were the sons of MP Samvel Alexanyan and
Rostov king pin Samvel. MP's nephew Gevorik who served his time in
UAE prison, was released for $1.5 mln was also present at the spot,
the newspaper reads.
Samvel Alexanyan's people escaped from the scene. According to
newspaper sources Ararat diocese archbishop Navasard Kchoyan is
also involved in the case. "He is closely connected with Samvel's
family. It is clear that the scuffle participants would not be punished
as usual. Eventually, nobody was injured - that's a comfort," Haykakan
Zhamanak concludes.
