YEREVAN, AUGUST 14, ARMENPRESS: The 18th annual conference of European
Elective Authorities Association will take place in Yerevan September
3-5.
Press secretary of the Armenian Central Electoral Commission Tatevik
Ohanyan told Armenpress that about 150 representatives from more than
28 countries and different international organizations will take part
in the conference the chief topic of which is "Forensic Defense of
Electoral Right".
The conference will also refer to the "Role of Courts in Electoral
Processes", "Restoration Mechanisms of Active Electoral Right",
"International Experience of Applying Sociology in Electoral
Processes".
The organizers of the event are Armenian Central Electoral Commission
and European Elective Authorities Association in collaboration with
the OSCE Yerevan Office and Armenian branch of International Foundation
of Electoral Systems.
The European Elective Authorities Association has been established
in 1991, the main headquarter is in Budapest. It has 23 member-states.
