AUGUST 12 IS INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY

YEREVAN, AUGUST 13, NOYAN TAPAN. The General Assembly of UN with its
decission of 17 December 1999 declared August 12 as the International
Youth Day. It was adopted with the assistance of the World Conference
of Ministers Responsible for Youth in Lisbon, on 8-12 August 1998
on the goal to raise the youth's information about world program of
activities for youth. The International Youth Day was first marked
on August 12, 2000. This year the theme of the world youth is:
"Our Challenges, Our Future".
