7TH PAN-ARMENIAN YOUTH FORUM HAS ABOUT 100 PARTICIPANTS

YEREVAN, AUGUST 14, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. The 7th Pan-Armenian
Youth Forum will be held in Tsakhkadzor on 10-15 and 70 young people
from Armenia and 35 Diasporan Armenian Young people from Russia,
Georgia, Belarus, Iran and France take part in it. Deputy Minister of
the RA Ministry of Diaspora Stepan Petrosian took part in the opening
ceremony. The latter congratulated on the occasion of beginning of
the Forum on behalf of the Ministry.
S. Petrosian attached importance to the Diasporan Armenian young
people's participation and solution of the problems in the issue of
their introduction in the processes of strenghtening of the Armenian
identity. He told the participants of the Forum that the RA Ministry of
Diaspora has been realizing the Come Home program since 2009 attaching
importance to the Armenian-based education of Diasporan Armenian
young people, their knowledge of the Armenian system of values and
national roots, the solution of the problems of the preservation of
the Armenian spirit.
He also attached importance to the fact that the RA Ministry of
Diaspora also realizes a number of other programs which are to improve
the life and studying conditions of the Diasporan Armenian young people
in their Homeland and to assist the repatriation aimed at preservation
of the Armenian spirit and usage of the potential of the Diaspora.
S. Petrosian wished the participants of the 7th Pan-Armenian Youth
Forum a productive activity in all spheres of life and a close
cooperation and unity around the high ideas of development of Armenia,
Armenian Diaspora and Armenian State, the recognition of the Armenian
Genocide and its conviction, the just settlement of the Nagorno
Karabakh Issue.
