FAREWELL EVENING OF SECOND STAGE PARTICIPANTS OF COME HOME PROGRAM OF RA MINISTRY OF DIASPORA TAKES PLACE IN YEREVAN LOVERS' PARK

YEREVAN, AUGUST 17, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. The farewell
evening of 65 Diasporan Armenians from 7 countries of the world, the
second stage participants of the Come Home - 2009 program of the RA
Ministry of Diaspora took place on August 14 in Yerevan Lovers' Park.
According to the Press and Public Relations Department of the RA
Ministry of Diaspora, Yerevan Mayor Gagik Beglarian was present at
the event. A quiz game on Armenology was organized during which the
Diasporan Armenian young people performed the knowledge got during the
course on the Study on Native Land subject within the framework of the
Come Home 2009 program. The Yerevan Mayor's Office prepared prizes for
the winners. Certificates were solemny given to the Come Home program
participants and letters of thanks to the families showed hospitality
to them. The farewell evening was closed with an entertainment program.
Members of the working group of the department implementing the Come
Home 2009 program, representatives of the administrative regions of
Yerevan and ArmenTel company were also present at the farewell evening.
The ArmenTel company is the sponsor of both first and second stages of
the program. The latter also provided the phone tie of the Diasporan
Armenian young people participating in the Come Home program with
each other and with the program organizers.
