FOUR BOXERS TO REPRESENT ARMENIA IN EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP QUARTER FINAL

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Four sportsment will represent Armenia in
the quarter final of European box championship taking place in
Shetsin, Poland,. Four out of eight Armenian boxers have quit the
tournament. Aleksan Shakhyan (w/c 54 kg.) and Gor Aristakesyan (w/c 75
kg.) were disqualified for further competitions in the first rounds,
falling behind Azeri and Ukraine representatives.
More successful boxer was Vladimir Margaryan (w/c 64 kg.) who qualified
for quarter final after defeating French and Azeri sportsmen. In
quarter final competitions, Armenian boxer was defeated by his
compatriot Arayik Mkhitaryan from Germany.
Thus, there will be 4 boxers representing Armenian in quarter final
competitions. Karen Aslazyan (51 kg.) will compete against Igor
Osipov of Moldova. Harutyun Abrahmyan (69 kg.) and Azat Davtyan
(91 kg.) will meet with Belarusian boxers Alexander Grigorchuk and
Vladislav Kuptsov respectively. Hovhannes Hovanyan (91 kg.) will get
into the ring with Dino Mansur (Croatia).
